Qwintal provides an extremely easy way to track 'near real time' wholesale prices of agricultural commodities sold on the government regulated mandi's (markets) in India. It's been specifically targeted towards the farmer community within India in order to provide them with easy access to government published/regulated prices of agricultural commodities. But other users such as wholesalers, retailers, brokers, agents, end customers, etc. all can use it to see government published/regulated prices of agricultural commodities. This information can help the users in order to negotiate better rates for buying or selling of the agricultural commodities.
Qwintal provides the information of agricultural commodities in various different categories such as 'Daily Essentials', 'Vegetables', 'Pulses', 'Cereals', 'Fruits', 'Dairy', 'Beverages', 'Live Stock, Poultry, Fisheries', 'Spices', 'Dry Fruits', 'Oil Seeds', 'Flowers', 'Fiber Crops', 'Forest Products'. Commodity Prices of last three days (today, yesterday, day before yesterday) is shown to the user focusing on the 'minimum price', 'maximum price' and 'average price' of the commodity. User can see the consolidated price data of a specific category along with the details of specific selected commodity. User can also see the price data for a selected mandi for a specific category or for a specific commodity.
Apart from this, Qwintal provides educational information on around 350+ agricultural commodities. This information can help users in understanding the commodity better. Qwintal also provides information on around 3600+ mandi's in India. This information can help users in finding a specific mandi they might be interested in to buy or sell agricultural commodities.
Qwintal uses state of the art latest technology to provide 'near real time' data to its users. The price data gets processed and analyzed on Qwintal's cloud servers and then its provided to the users. The 'commodity price data' gets synced with the user's device in 'near real time' to provide them up to date updates on the prices. Since the price data is going to be available on user's device, user would be able to see this data in off-line mode as well. Every care has been taken to ensure the traffic over the network, required to sync the data, is kept as small as possible - just a few kilobytes.
In subsequent releases of Qwintal, additional features would be added to help the users stay updated with the latest information in the agricultural and farming sector of India.
